What a great wall. Walls always make me think of Robert Frost (mainly because I had to read his collected poems at an impressionable age and they have been burned into my brain). I like the way this one undulates, has ribs, and curves like a spine. Will there be poetic responses to the wall and its art work when the project is finished?

my all time favorite of mr.frost...
mostly because it simply
slips from my tongue.

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

I suppose the one I refer to most is the classic:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

but I also like:

SOMETHING there is that doesn't love a wall,
That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it,
And spills the upper boulders in the sun;
And makes gaps even two can pass abreast.
